Orpheus and Eurydice the Appia staging

Summary: This production of Gluck's opera is a recreation of the historic staging of this work by Swiss designer Adolphe Appia and Jacques Dalcroze in 1912. Appia's innovations in design and staging were an effort to restore to the theater some of the vitality and integrity it had lost since antiquity and his methods were the basis of modern theatrical design.
