Summary: This report provides an overview of some of the key elements of the conflict in Syria, based on the situation at the time of the Committee's meetings. The report summarizes the testimony received by the Committee at that time in relation to: the humanitarian crisis caused by the conflict; the trajectory of the military conflict within Syria; the international attempts to advance a political transition for Syria; and, the implementation of the international agreement to eliminate Syria's chemical weapons. Based on this testimony, the report concludes with observations and recommendations.
