Summary: This wryly humorous and provocative feature-length documentary casts a critical eye at the North American experience of motherhood over the latter half of this century. Through conversations with seven mothers, a wonderful selection of archival footage from the 1950s, as well as some very candid and funny home movies from the director, Motherland offers new ways of thinking about what it means to be a good mom.
