Summary:

Two attractive young lesbians, Maggie and Kim, meet in Vancouver, develop a passionate romance, and move in together. Meanwhile, Maggie's well-meaning but naive mother Lila gets divorced and decides to move to Vancouver and join the household. Soon after, Lila is befriended by Judy, a transvestite about to undergo a sex-change operation. Complications ensue as the conservative Lila learns the truth about Maggie, Judy, and their diverse group of friends.

Maggie, dix-neuf ans, vient de lacher la fac et travaille dans une librairie. Elle rencontre Kim, une artiste peintre, dans un night-club. Elles tombent aussitot amoureuses l'une de l'autre. Mais un jour, Maggie recoit un coup de fil de sa mere, Lila, qui lui annonce qu'elle divorce et qu'elle vient s'installer chez elle avec son frere cadet Paul. Maggie est paniquee par leur arrivee imminente, d'autant plus que Lila n'a aucune idee de sa vie privee! C'est le debut des surprises et des sorties de placards.
